Export Shopify International Orders to CSV
Export Shopify orders to CSV or XLSX, including line-item properties like engraving and gift messages, processed in your browser.
In this guide
To export Shopify international orders, export them like any other orders: to a CSV or XLSX file that includes line-item properties such as engraving text, gift messages and upload links. Columna: Order Export & Sheets builds that file from your orders in your browser, for shops that hand orders to production, fulfilment or accounting.
To export orders on Shopify, open Orders in your Shopify admin, choose the orders you want (or all of them), and use Export to get a CSV file. You can then open that file in Excel or Google Sheets. That covers one store. If you run two or more stores, the same steps have to be repeated in every admin. This guide walks through the single-store export first, then shows how to avoid repeating it for each store when all you want is to look at your orders together.
Exporting orders from one Shopify store
- In your Shopify admin, go to Orders.
- Filter the list if you only need a date range, a payment or fulfillment status, or a tag.
- Select the orders you need, or leave the selection empty to work with the whole list.
- Click Export and choose which orders to include and the file format.
- Download the CSV, or wait for the email if the export is large, and open it in Excel or Google Sheets.
Shopify’s help center describes the current options in Exporting orders, including how larger exports are delivered.
This is a feature Shopify provides itself, and it works well when you have one store and a one-off question. If you are opening the file in Excel, our guide on exporting Shopify orders to Excel covers encoding, leading zeros and dates.
How do I export Shopify orders to CSV or XLSX?
To get line-item properties into the file, each in its own column, use Columna: Order Export & Sheets:
- Open Columna: Order Export & Sheets in your Shopify admin.
- Choose the orders: set a date range, and filter by payment status, fulfillment status or tag if you only need some of them.
- Choose the columns, including one column per line-item property, such as engraving text or a gift message.
- Download the file as CSV or XLSX.
For how the property columns are laid out, see our guide on exporting Shopify orders with line-item properties.
How do I keep an archive of exported orders?
Keep the CSV or XLSX files you download. Columna: Order Export & Sheets builds each file in your browser and saves it to your computer, so you can store the files wherever your team keeps its records.
Why exporting gets awkward with several stores
If you operate 2 to 10 stores, a question like “what came in this week?” turns into several logins, several exports and a manual merge in a spreadsheet. A few things tend to go wrong:
- Each file reflects a different moment in time, so the combined sheet is out of date as soon as new orders arrive.
- You have to add a store column to each file yourself, and use the same filters and date range in every store.
- It is easy to forget one store.
- Orders with several line items take several rows, so summing every row can double-count order-level amounts.
Merchants on Shopify Plus have organization analytics, which already combine sales across the stores in a Plus organization. If you run several stores without Plus, you usually end up with the spreadsheet routine above.
One order list across your stores
StoreFleet is a workspace for sellers and agencies who run two or more Shopify stores. It gives you one order list and insights across your stores, and store groups to keep related stores together, so you can review orders from several stores in one place rather than merging a file from each.
StoreFleet also covers what happens after you spot something in the orders. Changes in each store, such as refunds, cancels, captures, inventory and discounts, are previewed first. Each change is approved for the store it belongs to, from one Approvals list that covers all your stores. After a change is written, StoreFleet checks it against Shopify, and it rolls the change back where Shopify allows.
Two things to be clear about:
- Every change belongs to one store. There is no single approval that applies to several stores.
- Stock and product sync are built in, and each store’s synced change waits for that store’s approval by default.
If you need a CSV for your accountant or another tool, Shopify’s own export above still does that job, store by store.
A simple routine for multi-store order reviews
- Review the combined order list for all your stores, or for one store group.
- Spot the orders that need action, such as a refund or a cancel.
- Preview the change, then approve it for that store from the Approvals list.
- Let StoreFleet check the result against Shopify after writing.

Try it
If you manage more than one Shopify store and are tired of merging exports just to see your orders together, try StoreFleet from the Shopify App Store and see your orders in one list.
FAQ
Can I export orders in Shopify without an app?
Yes. Use Export on the Orders page of your Shopify admin. It exports one store at a time.
Do I need Shopify Plus to see orders from several stores together?
Shopify Plus offers organization analytics for stores in a Plus organization. StoreFleet is aimed at sellers and agencies with 2+ stores who are not on Plus.
Does StoreFleet change my orders automatically?
No. Changes are previewed and approved for each store before they are written, then checked against Shopify.
Does StoreFleet keep my stores in step with each other automatically?
On the Standard and Pro plans it can: live stock sync keeps stores following one store’s stock count, and scheduled product sync proposes title, description and price updates daily or weekly. On every plan you can sync products by hand. Each synced change belongs to one store and waits for that store’s approval by default.
